I think I've fouled my AC/Delco Platinums after only about 600 miles. Looks like carbon fouling. #3 was pretty caked up with soot, but dry. Haven't checked all, but replaced that one and the PCV. I think I'm running too rich. I installed Ford Racing 24lb Gen III Bosch injectors last month. I understand from FIC this is a popular swap. Ran like a raped ape at first, now, it seems to stutter. Ford rates these injectors at 39.15 PSI. I think I'm running at 45 PSI--maybe more. Is this the problem? What should I set the adjustable regulator at? Suggestions?

HI there, Your correct setting when running is 31-37 psi. I woud prefer the higher setting, as this is where the OEM runs. Allthebest, c4c5 |

Thanks Paul! Think that's what's fouling the plugs--but my mileage is WAY up anyway with these injectors--18.1 to 23.1 MPG--mostly city. Not bad for $139 and two hours work! Off to grab a test gauge and do these rotten plugs, again. Not going platinum though. I've learned from a few techs they're just too sensitive and I only drive this car about 3000 miles a year anyway.

Okay, bought a fuel pressure gauge ($25 on sale at Advanced Auto), and my pressure was at 50PSI. I'm guessing that's not good. Reset at about 39.5 PSI, pretty close to the injectors test rating of 39,.15 PSI. Idle came down a bit, but still at 720-750, the loop I attribute to the cam. Fresh plugs tomorrow.
