CM Junkman's Return to Corvettes at Carlisle!

Well what can I say, it was Carlisle so you know it was a good time! I was actually under the weather this year but by the end of the event, my juices had started flowing again. I left Louisville in a small plane looking somewhat beat up.

See, don't I look sick?

When I arrived in Carlisle, I was given the keys to a very nice set of wheels. As you can see, these type of keys can perk a guy up! A very nice ride indeed!

I got to see my main man for Corvette knowledge again! For those who don't know, this is Paul Koerner (C4C5Specialist), a World Class Certified GM Technician who was flown in by Mid America to do some seminars on the C5 and C6. If you ever get a chance to hear this man speak, DO IT. He is the E.F. Hutton of Corvette knowledge.

Pulling the trigger on the flash test, unplugging folks from the Matrix!

Smokin' Vettes had a unusual looking ride in their tent. Definitely drew in the attention!

Things were constantly hoping at the Adam's booth. People were constantly in line buying something.

Anyone looking for a fixer-upper? A little detail spray and you're ready for a Saturday night cruise! At least at that asking price, the damn thing should run, eh?

The Adam's Customer Appreciation Party was fun as usual! Plenty of food, drinks and laughs.

Customer appreciation winners!

This here is my bud "Kool-Aid"! He got his name from an accident he had where he ran through a garage door. As he stood there with debris all over him, someone said that he looked like the Kool-Aid pitcher as he crashed through. Needless to say, the name stuck! lol

I tried to belly up to a conversation between Big Steve (Krazytrain) and Kool-Aid but they put the squeeze on me!

This puppy was nice!

Meanwhile back at the tent, someone brought in a nice C5 with a nasty key job:

So out came the sandpaper and I went for broke.

And now for the final results. Notice that all of the other swirls and scratches are gone too!

Smokin Vettes had a very nice C6 at their tent. Got a lot of looks too.

This company was selling some slick hoods. They need to work on their swirl marks though!

Some local crooks showed up!

Another sweet C2!

Chris going at it in the blazing hot sun. Mad props to him!

When talking about a car like this, you can pack the kitchen sink when going on vacation. You can even take along your favorite "Junk in da' Trunk!"

Here's a good gauge that you can use to see how under the weather I was. Look at the size of my steak. I could only manage to eat half of it!

Although my appetite for food was beat down, I still had my eyes on the ladies...

Last year's winner of the bikini contest was only in the second tier of losers this year. She's number 1 in this picture.

:WTF

She was definitely one of the top two of the entire bunch. Corvette owners have great taste in cars but after they have been drinking, stay away from the ballot box! :thud:

Here's your winner...

Well folks, that's it. Another Carlisle down the pipe and into history. I think we can finally call it...

Outstanding! Thank you. I was unable to attend but you made me feel like I was there. Love them C2's and of course the ladies. Fine Pennsylvania weather too!
Did you see the 73 red coupe in the special display? That is my buddy's. Best 73 on the planet. Who wants a 73??

I didn't get to venture away from my roost for long as I was there to help folks out so I miss a lot of the events every year. One year I may have to go solo so that I can partake in the festivities, mainly Paul's seminars!

Excellent summary AJ. You da man!

You worked like a dog, I thought you seemed a little under the weather, not the same guy in the videos. That hot weather could knock anyone down. Keep up the good work, you got the lock on polishing techniques.

Thanks for sharing the pictures as my wife caused me to miss the swimsuit event. NICE!
