CM C6 A/C Software Update

I have a 2008 Corvette that has the A/C fan mod to get rid of the mildew smell on start up. The fan does run slowly for some time after shut down as I understand it is supposed to....however recently when I return to the car after it has set for 30-45 minutes I have noticed that the fan is running at a noticable higher speed when I get back into the car. Is this normal or was the fan reprogrammed wrong? How many minutes is the fan supposed to run after shutdown? Is it supposed to come back on at a certain time? Thanks for any light you can shed on this event.

HI there,

The afterblow feature is considered normal once programmed.

It will work after you shut the car off and can run on either medium or high speeds for up to 4 minutes after you turn the car off.

Understood but mine is on sometimes 40 minutes later when I return to my car. Is it possible they made a mistake and put in 40 instead of 4?

HI there,

They cannot vary it at the dealership.

It is a preset program all all they do is enable it.

You may have an issue with the control head, but accurate data out of it would be the first course of action.

These units are usually more difficult to diagnose than most.
