Paul what is the percentage of C4s would you say you had to replace the ECM and what years?

A HIGH number of early ones, including mine. Have you verified yours is bad? Be sure to properly install both the CalPak and the ECM program chip and be sure to mount and ground it properly, or you'll simply go into a loop. | ||||||||||||||||||||

There was a short of some manner we traced to the box. I believe it was blamed on poor soldering in the manufacturing process at the time. A buddy at dealership scored me a new ECM box for $96, so I jumped.

About three years ago, so if you have a friend at a dealership--great! Bet they still have a few around the country collecting dust. If not, plenty of rebuilt units out there. | ||||||||||||||||||||

HI there, There are so many different ones for different years. I know personally, I have done all from 84-96, although the 94-96 much less frequently. Yes, there are many cores out there. Allthebest, c4c5 |
