The ac compressor on my 87 used the "self oiling" front seal which I believe also "self leaked" the freon over time, not to mention the continual stripe of oil on the underside of the hood. Is there a better seal available to replace the original? I've been told the new compressors for this car eliminate this problem. Are they the same style as the original with a better sealing system? Any help is appreciated.
