CM Need rec for SS caliper supplier for my '72

Doing an all-around brake replacement/upgrade for my '72. The supplier of -new- SS-sleeved calipers we wanted is Stainless Steel Brakes (ssbrakes), but they said castings for rear calipers have been delayed, so the Stingray is sitting in the shop, waiting. Don't like waiting

I've Googled and found Muskegon Brake and vbandp.com, they have re-man calipers with core swaps. I want SS-sleeved calipers of the best quality, and need some recommendations from folks a LOT more knowledgeable than me with the 2 backup sources referenced above, as well as experience with them. Also would appreciate any other sources recommended that would be good choices.

If I've left out pertinent details (likely), say so, I'm just a busted-knuckle probie.

TIA!

=============

The work has been done on the '72: rebuilt the steering gearbox, new rotors and pads all around, rebuilt calipers with SS sleeves and o-rings and all the SS lines and braided lines, back from shop and feels SO much tighter and great braking. Felt so improved I wanted to say it's as good as the '06, but that would be a wee bit of a stretch. But it's mighty sweet! Thanks for the replies, going to really enjoy driving more now. About the only think I want to do is add PW. SO hard to try to reach across and roll the window up and down. Late spring project, if anyone has any recommendations, they're welcome!

HI there,

You could also try Mid America.

I do know they have them as well.

The only reason for the stainless steel was because of the vehicles sitting and moisture getting on the piston to bore clearancing.

Corvette from the inside, by Dave McClellan was incredible for the detail on the problem and the fix.

Allthebest, c4c5
