CM Fob trouble

When it goes below freezing the doors won't open. The window moves but the door will not open. The hatch opened, and manually opened the door. then no fob. put it in the glove box to statr the car. once the car warmed up everything worked. What is wrong with this car? C6 2008.

Hi there,
First, a scan of the system would be suggested.

It may be you have a communcations issue but a scan would tell you first what your dealing with.

Had a scan done, it revealed four codes. Dealer states that a low battery could cause this problem. Dealer replaced the battery with a higher amp one. New vettes come with the stronger battery. Hope that's all that it is.

Post the four codes if you can, they should be on your receipt.

HI there,
The N0110 is the battery replacement labor operation and is NOT a diagnostic trouble code. That is what GM uses when paying the dealership.

As for your B codes, those are interesting.

Im not sure what that has to do with anything, but did you have anything else addressed or any other parts replaced????

It was 27 this morning and everything worked fine. Tomorrow morning it's supposed to go down to 18, that will be the test. No nothing else was done.

I really am having a hard time believing the battery caused this. There would have been some "U" codes stored if battery voltage was too low for proper operation.

Perhaps a relay sticking when it's super cold or perhaps the RCDLR module itself has an internal fault would be my guess.

1/3/2010 19 degrees, the doors openend but got no fob detected. Had to put the fob in the glove box. Took it for a 10 mile ride, once warmed up everything works. Back to the dealer we go.

Maybe the car doesn't want to go outside when it's < 20F! (I can't say I blame it!) LOL!

Sounds like the battery is on the threshold at lower temps. How is the battery in the FOB?
