Unhappy 1982 Fuel pump problem

My '82 Has been sitting for just a few weeks and now won't start. Although I don't drive it very often, I try to make sure I start it at least once a month or so. There is no fuel getting to the intake. I can hear the buzz-click when I turn on the Key. I checked the fuel filter for a clog. Nothing there. The fuel pump was replaced about a year ago by one our local corvette shops when it did the same thing. I also ran a jumper to the fuel pump so I could definitely hear the pump working. I made sure that there was fresh fuel in the tank, although the gas that was in the tank was probably a year or so old. WHast should I check next. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. I have jumped from the positive terminal of the battery to the brown lead at the fuel tank for the fuel pump. I can hear the fuel pump operating when this is done. If I remove the fuel line going to the TBI's from the fuel filter on the frame, should I expect flow to that point? If not?

HI there
The first thing to check is the spark.
Making sure that you test it correctly, given that your not getting fuel, its possible that the distributor is not sending the signal to fire te fuel injectors.
The key is the fuel pressure is between 9-13 psi.

HI there,
If you hear the pump, you should have fuel all the way up to the throttle bodies.
Just remember, FLOW does not equal pressure and you must have BOTH!!!

Tampa Gene, hey I was going through the posts trying to find info on my 82 cruise when I saw your post for no fuel I had the same issue but mine only happened as I would drive same syptoms you have you should remove the pump from tank and inspect the rubber hose that bridges your actual fuel pump to fuel sending line they tend to age poorly and develop cracks kinda like the broken straw effect yoursuccking air and not fuel just a thought hope you get er fixed
