CM Pulled the trigger on a new C6! Wow!

Called Kerbeck Chevy on a new black Z51 436hp NPP exhaust C6 and drove down and picked it up this afternoon.

Dave Salvatore, the sales manager as well as his entire staff over at Kerbeck were awesome.

Everything was exactly as he said it was. The price was awesome too.

This is my year for new GM vehicles as last month I bought the wife a silver 2008 CTS AWD sport suspension and 304hp.

This month I bought this new C6 and I have to tell you its one hell of a different vehicle. Its very luxurious from a NVH standpoint. The C6 is very quiet, smooth until it hits around 4K rpm and then the NPP kicks @ss and sounds awesome..

This is what the car looks like!

Really very different than the c5 Z! The C5 Z was a raw sports car whereas the C6 Z51 is smooth!

I only have a 150 miles on it from yesterday yet I can say that NPP exhaust is cool as hell..

Quiet when you are tooling around and howling when you hammer it!

Just want I wanted..

Z06 wheels too? Nice. Between that and the CTS, I'd say you've got all the bases covered there. How you liking the Caddy BTW?

I love the caddy. I hear it just won MT car of the year award which should make thanksgiving dinner with the snooty inlaws (who only like foreign cars ) that much sweeter!

I'm sorry the wheels in the photo of a black c6 are wrong ..They are not on my car...as I didn't get to take a photo worth posting yet..

I have the stock rims which I happen to like very much.

I had the car out in the light snow fall today and it was great..

I then took the car to the car wash tonight.. and its shining as good as new now!

Lot of fun for sure just the way GM made it! ;)

If I could I would get a CTS too, it rocks!

And thanks for buying GM too! My state appreciates it!

I really do walk the walk when it comes to buying american..

I personally believe the american brands are better products (within the respective market segments) and I believe GM's products are the best of the best..

The R & D as well as the performance and value each vehicle represents is world class in my opinion..

I realize its not as "cool" to some to buy american...but I challenge anyone to find a better vehicle in many of the comparative segments..

I'm going to have a blast laughing my @ss off as my snooty inlaws talk about how the foreign cars are better..yada..yada..yada. ..and I'll just smile as my blowhole father in law reads the article that says the CTS is this years Motor Trend Car of the Year

Of course he'll recite some nonsense from consumers reports as if it were the gospil of automotive design.. (that alone tells you enough about this guy)

Should be a fun thanksgiving! !!!!

Which do I like better the CTS or the C6? C6 definitely is more my style but the CTS is a sharp 4 door sports sedan too..

I just laugh out loud everytime I hit the gas pedal on the vette and I've been enjoying this thrill over a decade now..

I was telling a buddy of mine at the gym whose a chiropractor ....and he was asking me whats the reason or rather the big deal with the Horsepower....and I looked at him and said...

Its like taking a hit of Nitrous oxide..

Its just a big thrill hammering the gas pedal and getting that feeling as the car is rushing forward..

He looked at me as if I were a kid in a candy store.. and as far as I'm concerned at 48 years old...

Thats a good thing..

I'm definitely enjoying the ride..

One when I'm cruising with the family.. and one when its just me or me and the kid!

Would you believe my sons digging this new Black C6 much more so than the Red C5 Z06..

The NVH on the C6 is so much more evolved than my modified C5 Z06 with cam and headers..

I really believe the car as much as he liked cruising with me in it...was testing his abilities as an autistic child through the years..

I knew that and didn't care.. I thought it better to push the envelope with his desire to travel to various places.. and that he would learn to block the NVH that was tougher for him to deal with..

That said at 12 next week...I'm glad to have a new corvette thats so much more evolved that isn't a trial or test for him ..

I'm just shooting the breeeze...but I was out in the vette this morning at the gym and it really is an amazing vehicle..

I don't miss the C5 Z at all at this point.. I'm digging the new ride!

I follow your logic and beliefs as well when it comes to American branded cars.

I'm going to have a blast laughing my @ss off as my snooty inlaws talk about how the foreign cars are better..yada..yada..yada. ..and I'll just smile as my blowhole father in law reads the article that says the CTS is this years Motor Trend Car of the Year

Yeah this is very good new for sure!

Arggg, say no more I know the type! Be sure and bring up how CR recently stated their Toyota data was old and was carried over for many years which totally was not fair to other brands. CR called its own bluff and now we really can have doubts about its reporting.

Along the lines of the CTS, I really dig the Pontiac G8! Man does that car have the looks and the power for sure!

I dig the G8 too! I would have considered it but 1) its not out until next year and I had a leased truck come due and this time I wanted to buy and 2) its not awd and I needed at least one vehicle that could get through winter weather easily for my better half...

Hence the slightly more expensive, slightly less powerful (20%) more luxurious CTS...plus as we approach 50 I figured the cadillac brand has a little more maturity to it ...

The CTS tagged the mid forty year old buyer really well with the new CTS in my opinion...(younger and older as well so its not a flame but rather a compliment)

I'm very proud to have bought the both the CTS and the C6..

I think they are both great vehicles within their respective market segments..

The G8 will also be a winner..especially at 30 grand for the V8.!
